In 2011, faced with the inevitable march of time, the monastery’s leadership made a visionary decision. Under the guidance of His Holiness, the 41st Sakya Trizin, and inspired by the late Venerable Khenchen Appey Rinpoche, they launched an ambitious digitization project.
The late Rinpoche’s words resonated powerfully: “Collecting, digitizing, and publishing important texts ensures an authentic and complete transmission of the Dharma.”

By 2022, a significant milestone was achieved—all 84,000 texts were indexed. Currently, 20% of the collection has been digitized and made freely available online under a Creative Commons license.
